Friendstribe.com is a mobile social network. It's similar to other social networking sites except every aspect of it was designed to be used from your cell phone through text messaging. Here's a quick description of our main features:

You can use the AT keyword to check in at any of the venues in our database, and if your favorite venue isn't in there, you can add it.

All you do is send AT [venue name] to us at 87130 and we will send your location to your friends, any friends of friends that have already checked in and to anyone you have rated that has the same rating on you and is already checked in.

Checkins go on your profile after 24 hours.
Tom is a friend of John.
Friends will only get messages if they are within a distance you choose.

Friends of friends only recieve messages if they have already checked in at a venue.

Meg and John have rated each other.
People that are rated will only recieve messages if they are checked in at a venue and they have given each other identical ratings.

The BLAST keyword is very simple. Just send BLAST [message] and we'll send that message to all of your friends

BLAST is the only keyword that is sent to all of your friends, not just friends within your radius.
Jill and John are friends of Tom.
Blast messages go out to all your friends, not just friends within your radius.

Sending a venue BLAST is a lot like a regular BLAST, except the message is only sent to friends that are at most as far away from you as a radius you choose.

Just send [venue] BLAST [message] to send a VENUE BLAST.
John is inside Tom's radius
He gets the message

Jill is outside Tom's radius
She does not get the message
The FIND keyword lets you find venues from your phone. Send FIND [venue name], if there's an exact match, or only one match we'll send you information on that venue. If there's more than one match we'll send you a list of matching venues.
Multiple venues match "Moe's".
In order to find the address and phone number of a venue you need to know enough of the name so that only one venue is returned

The GROUP keyword lets you send messages to groups of your friends.
You can have as many groups as you want, you can call them whatever you want and you can have as many friends as you'd like in them. You can also put friends in more than one group.
These people are in Tom's WORK GROUP
They will recieve and message Tom sends to his WORK GROUP

These people are not in Tom's WORK GROUP
Although they won't get any messages Tom sends to his WORK GROUP, Tom might have put them in a different group.
